Orange Coraline?

    Starting to show some Orange Coraline Algae on my live rock.
    Any thoughts? Good? Bad? What do you thing causes the different colours?

    I have some orange too. It's just in a few places, and it came on the rock I purchased. That's really cool if you have it growing in your tank and not just spreading from existing LR.

    Not sure why there is a color difference. I have tons of Crimson colored Red growing, and very little purple comparitively.

    It's a different species of algae.

    The only orange I see in my tank is on the rock subsurface of my sand. If it's the same thing, yes it's really pretty!

    Could be orange coralline. Also seems to happen to red coralline that does not get enough light. Usually this goes away over time. There is also a disease calles Coralline Lethal Orange Disiease (CLOD). I do not believe this is common in our aquariums though.
