I placed the other day my Yuma that became unattached to the rock he was on on the sand inside of a round piece of pvc with some rubble rock on the sand. So far he is open but has not attached to any of the rock. Any other ways to get him to attach or just wait?
    Thanks,
    Adam

Do you have some veil? Put it on top of a piece of rock and then wrap them with a piece of veil. He'll have no choice but to attach itself to it. If you have it in the PVC like pictured.....it will probably get stuck to the PVC instead.

I am a little confused to what to do. The Yuma is not attached to the pvc though. I dont want to touch the yuma at all on its flesh so if I need to move it at all I used a spoonlast time to get him in the pvc. Can you explain the veil or would brine shrimp netting do?

I think I understand what your saying. Wont the veil or netting damage the Yuma or prevent it from getting flow or food. They are not the hardiest coral.

I would leave it alone, it will attach. You might want to move the PVC a bit so the Ric sits more in the middle and is not touching the PVC though. I don't like covering Ric and Mushrooms with Veil, they just don;t seem to do as well as Kenya tree or other leathers.

It seems that the Yuma moves around in the pvc. So what should I do then?

Put some rubble in a small plastic cup. I pick up the yuma with clean hands and put in cup, cover with netting, put in low light area and wait, It will attach to a piece of rubble in about 2 weeks. Then you can put it where you want.

Since the Yuma is inside the pvc is that the same thing as being inside of a plastic cup? What will the netting over the pvc do to help him attach versus not having netting?
    Thanks,
    Adam

The netting will keep you from loseing it, water current, etc..
They can end up anywhere in your tank with out netting..

    Good Luck, Larry
