Orange spot??

Ok, may sound a little odd but I noticed some or should I say a bunch of really tiny orange spots floating around my tank. Now it looks like the sponge on my protein skimmer is full of them and my green starfish is covered with them. Any ideas as to what they are?

i took a couple of pics but they cannot be seen very well. but this satr as never looked like this either (as far as positon so maybe thats a tell tale sign i dont know)

 

might be sponge of some sort.

 

they are small dots and they seem to be coming off much like ick would on a fish. they float around the tank. thanks for the input

 

Not as many on the star today but These little orange things are all stuck in the filter to the protein skimmer. Tried looking for some pics of star eggs but couldn't find any assuming they are not visible, but I can see these things. ANymore ideas would be great.

Something may have spawned. What else have you got in the tank? The only other guess I could make would be red planaria (flatworms) but they don't tend to float around the tank.

 

I thought maybe the clowns. Only had the larger one for a long time and about a month ago we added a little smaller one and they have been side by side ever since. I am thinking the tiny orange spots came from the sea star though. He was acting like a contortionist as you can see in the pics and doing some really wierd stuff last night. Now he is back to normal. The spots look like the ick parisite but are bright orange, and are floating freely other then a bunch on the star.
