Orange stuff growing all over my rock! id please?

so over the past week or so i have noticed this orange stuff growing all over my LR.

an ID and some info would be greatly appreciated

 

I'm going to guess diatoms, but not for sure. That is how mine started out looking and then within a couple of weeks it was gone. Anyone else care to agree with me?

 

Yea i agree,probably look all rusty and then start to go away in 2 or 3 weeks,mine was completly covered with it,how old is the tank??

 

the tank is just shy of 1 year, i have never seen the stuff before now.

i guess ill see how it goes over the next couple weeks.

 

How long has it been growing on your rocks Jay?It's not orange coralline is it?

 

I forgot,have you added anything or changed something to start a small cycle?

 

the latest addition was a handful of cheato in my fuge, that was about a month ago.

 

I have some orange coralline in my tank. Sometimes when the red coralline dies off it turns orange for a few days, or another possibility is an encrusting sponge.
