Has anyone bought and used an Orca Refugium lately...They have a good design at a competitive price....ALSO...What about the white acylic walls on three sides...I like the white baffles to keep light getting to the skimmer area and return area...But what about the white on the exterior walls...Just unusual....No big deal?!?....Thanks in advance for your opinons!

I've also been looking ay the Eshopps fuge....what do you guys think or have to say about either of these....

Cmon guys...I've been a member of several forums...and this is the most "non opinons" I have ever seen...I KNOW I'm a newby BUT...??!!:thinking2

The white doesn't help, but it is a slightly cheaper acrylic than the clear so that may be why they use it. A black would have made more sense to cut algae/etc. but otherwise it's likely irrelevant. As for the construction, the Eshopps units are well built, should be rugged enough for anything. The Orcas looked like they cut a few corners, maybe not enough to make a difference, but enough to get the price lower than most. Never used either personally though.

here my Eshopps fuge...I really like it the skimmer section is very small but I did get the smallest model, i'd advise the bigger one gives you more skimmer options.

(I normally have the light alot lower, raised it up for the shot)

Just sold mine 24 x 10 x 15 orca fuge for my 55 gallon. It had the three white side and did not seem to be any different than any other acrylic. Seemed well built and very durable. Had a light on the fuge area and you can see everything on the walls of the white. But imo why not build you own (other than dimesion problems) you should look into it. Good luck.

    Custom fuge?

Per the pic, did you have that custom made or if not where did you get it?
