I have a 10 gallon tank sectioned off with baffles: one section drain from tank, 2nd section for fuge, then third section from return pump

now, i plan on sumpifizing my skimmer by just extending the incoming tube to the skimmer from the pump, which means bigger pump. that's ok.

I also plan on putting my carbon and PO4 reactors in there too, they're going to be inline with each other with a ball valve between them.

my question is, should the skimmer/reactors go before or after the fuge? and am i asking for a problem by putting all these in one chamber of the sump? One pump for the reactors and one pump for the skimmer?

I have a drawing if my description is too confusing that i can put up..

    Thanks!!

the way i understand is. and the way i have mine is to tee off your incoming sump line have one run strait down in to the skimmer chamber, the teed part gets ball valved and runs to the fuge(you dont want as much water running threw your fuge as you have running threw your equipment chamber. i have a pic of it at the end of my video on my signature, just fast forward to the end and pause on that picture!!

and the reactors i would tee befor the reactors and ball valve the one for the po4 media as you only want like 80-90 gph threw that one.

Now, where would I put the skimmer? along with the pump for the reactors? Does my set up make sense?

Anything you guys would change/add, any tips would help!

    Thanks

IMO it looks like a fuge only. in that setup the skimmer would go in the part marked fuge.

Thats just what I would do Im sure there will be a few other ideas out there

Yep I would put the fuge somewhere else because the flow there is going to be too fast for it to serve it's purpose and just put the skimmer in that area.

ha, now this puts a whole different spin on this. So, I would put the fuge somewhere else, tee off from the incoming line and have it go to the fuge? Where would the fuge's outgoing line go to?

if it was me I would make 2 just like the one you have on as a sump and one as a fuge with the skimmer in the sump

makes sense, but my question is...where does the water going into and out of the fuge come from/go to?
