Ordering, no qt tank

Hey guys,

So I've decided to purchase from live aquaria. A few dartfish, maybe some LPS. Thing is, I don't have the time or the money to set up a qt tank. I know this is a huge gamble, but I will try be do everything I can including dipping the corals and really inspecting each fish before it get into the tank... Has none else pulled it off?

 

When I had a previous setup, I never QT any fish (big risk). I was successful with this.. If I had the space though I would have had a QT tank for sure.

i think you're fine! IMO when ordering from such a place, do a basic 45 minute swap out
1 Unless your gonna do a full on QT right, don't add stress to the fish! follow the other rules and keep stress to a minimum in your tank!

Some great advice. Ill have to save that, so I can remember that when I get some fish.

That's for diver's den, where the fish are treated somewhat better. I'm ordering from regular Liveaquaria, but they still do a lot from what I've read. I'm mainly concerned with what the shipping stress will bring out in the fish.
