I'm starting up a 90 gallon tank, and I'm thinking of ordering online some parts for it (heater, protein skimmer, power heads, and pump for the sump). Is there a reliable store/website which I can purchase good quality equipment at a reasonable price? Also, is there any specific brands which you have found to be very good for the heater, power heads, and pump? (I'm pretty sure I want an Aqua C for the protein skimmer)

after you check out what most stores are offering for supplies, find them cheaper on ebay... I know that there are some very cheap remoras on ebay for around 150-160 dollars.

Stay away from Marine Depot. Advised they would price match and when I ordered the product they told me they could not price match. Had an email stating that they would price match from them and still refused. Bad business and support!!!!!

Try JUST PHISH.com(also a 3reef member), Salty Critter.com as well. Your best bet is to check out many different websites as you may find one item cheaper at one place than the other, but not everything will be cheaper at just one place.

I'm pretty sure I want a fluval tronic submersible 300W heater, but I haven't been able to find a 300W one, just 200w and smaller. my LFS sells the 300w ones, but they are really expensive. What heaters do you use?

Forget E-bay its full of questionable products and scams.

Stick with reiable mailorder places like Dr. Fosters and Smith and Premium Aquatics. A 3reef sponser and I've ordered from them at least a dozen times and they have yet to screw up once.

Customer service is real important when mailordering stuff and saving a few bucks on E-bay doesn't seem to matter much when you got people overcharging, sending the wrong stuff, sending it to the wrong address, backordering stuff for weeks and not telling you and not answering emails or phone calls.

Also for the worst of the worst from my first hand experience don't order from Big Al's On-line. They did half the things mentioned in one order!
