I'm toward the end of cycle. Had lots of brown stuff I wanted to start cleaning so I put a few Gulf shrimp in the tank. So far it looks like they are cleaning it. Has anyone else tried this?

Not sure exactly what a gulf shrimp is buy just like most crustaceans, they are scavengers and should help cleanup a bit. However you'll want some hermits and snails as well. Reeftopia.com has some great cleanup crew packages, as do a few other sponsor sites.

It's same kinda shrimp you eat. I went fishing and had some for bait and figured since I had them, I'd try it. I'll remove them one the cycle is done and add a real cleaner crew. I just wanted something to help control the nasty early so it didn't get out of hand.
