Organisms in rock

    Could there be any organisms in my rock that cause a powder to start appearing all over the place? I also have a few web looking things on my rock. I haven't checked my calcium, but I don't think it is the coraline bleaching.

    is your sand new it could be a fish or somthing disrupting the sand

    it is way up high on a rock...nowhere near the sand. Have had the sand for a month...live sand....only have some reef crabs and two clowns...they swim at the top.

    can you take a pic? Are you sure its sandy in texture?

    It's not little tube worms? Are the white spots hard or soft?

    sometimes pods will buro new holes in rocks and produce sand coming out. the other thing is sometimes a sort of house cleaning will happen and organisms in rock will expell dirt/sand out of there holes. I have read this all happens at once weird but that is the fun of this hobbie
