I currently have a 14 gal biocube and was just debating between the two bulbs. I am new to LED lighting and was looking to replace the current compacts in the hood. I guess my question is if the PR-ML7 is sufficient?

I have a Pr-ML7 and I have been blown away by how well it grows coral. It's by far the best light per watt that I've ever seen as far as coral growing power, so I'd say you'd be pretty good with it if coral health is what your concerned about. I would have said it's not enough power if I had not had one myself, but with that said I don't think you'll be happy with just a ML7. It's very very blue and will not give you a good day time viewing color. Personally I'm running my ML7 on a 8.5 rimless with a RGB for color balance, but if I could do it all over I'd just get a more balanced orphek light so that I only have one light over my tank because I think that looks better for a rimless tank with a pendent light.

Thanks for the reply. I was debating which bulb to purchase to see if I could save myself some money. The PR-25 seems to be the more balanced light. Personally a bluer tank would not be a problem but the bulb is said to cover a 10 cubic inch area. The PR-25 covers a cubic foot area. I guess I will be ordering the 25
