What? Just because we see a few happy customers? He didn't say anything that was iffy or questionable...this is a product review, to which a happy customer posted his opinion of said (similar) product.

 

No, they seem to have a good rep for working out isses with the product. If they didn't Marine Depot would drop them like a bad habbit! They don't put up with that.

 

The mystery posters don't usually have that many posts on their accounts. I have heard good reps when it come to there service.

I am not a mystery poster.. I actually posted a thread about Orpehk here WAY before all this came out ( LED Switch moving away from Orphek thats the name in case u wanted to check it) In this post I was actually complaining about the fixture and a couple of thigns that went wrong with the fixture at first. But I actually had a GREAT experience with customer service, they actually noticed the post contacted me and had a great follow up, offered me all the pieces that I needed and actually more than made up for the trouble.

I was actually about to buy another fixture and I asked Mike about the PAR readings since I cant test it myself. Dont want to sound offensive, I just dont want more bad publicity or skepticism around this company, specially when its undeserving.

Undeserving is all relative. If the company would have been more honest from the beginning, they would not be surrounded in skepticism. Now that it has blown up in their face, they seem to have decided to clean house and do things the right way. Does that make them a great company, undeserving of the skepticism? That is yet to be seen.

But if you go back further in the book, you will find, "Eye for an eye!" In the beginning He is vengeful, and later He is forgiving.

I have done nothing but welcome the changes that Orphek has made. I will give credit where credit is due. I will however advise those to tread lightly. I have no problem admitting that the Orphek has one of the highest outputs of any LED fixture in the market. I have no problem admitting the build quality is very good. Is it the best fixture? Hardly. Is it the worst? Hardly. Is there better available for the price. I would say yes. Some may say no, but I would say,"Why?". I however would prefer to wait until the the comparison results are published. Which should be soon.
