Yes, I drip acclimate.

I did have all my water parameters checked while at the LFS and everything checked out fine without nothing showing out of the ordinary. The store replaced my black one tonight so I will try again. I also bought a test kit so I can keep an eye on parameters regularly.

What is theateral line or did you mean lateral line?

 

I was thinking the same thing,maybe try acclimating the smaller clown that you introduce in the tank with a breeder cage or a refugium before letting it in the open with the other fish.
