Well Pisces like they always say "Can't take it with you......"

Well it is about 2/3 full and I put all the rock in from the 30gal trash can and got the plumbing covered. Will have just enough room to put the LR from the 55 gal and make two islands. Almost there.......;D

Thanks Mate! A lot of work has went into this and there is still more to be done such as lighting and to finish the drywall..yuck! It will all be worth it in the end.

Yours is the one I got the ideal from but islands is the only way I can do this tank. There can be no rock touch the glass so all I have is the middle of the tank to stack the rock. Heck I still have 102lbs of LR from my 55 gal that I have or would like to fit in here and not look cluttered. We'll see how much I can get in the display tank, the rest will go in the sump.

SWEET!!! I cant wait to see the pics now!! I just added around 15-20 lbs of rock to mine, an I like it better. I was scared there was not enough hiding spots for the flame angels!! My female cinnamon clown is a little devil, so I have to help the poor fish out, LOL. What kinda salt did you go with?? Im almost out, and was thinking to run reef crystals. Good luck with the huge algea bloom!!!!! All that lighting is gonna make the tank come to life in no time...

Doing this one the (no algae) Tangster way, I won't have any lights on for about 8 weeks then just Actinics and will finally turn on the 3 400w MH's after week 10 or 12, depending on water parameters. There is 2 cups of sand out of my 55 gal in there and nothing else but rock. Just want bacteria to grow not algae from lights at the moment. I have a sole Yellow Tail Damsel doing all the work. Used a flash light this morning and he was still in there, I think those guys could survive a nuclear blast.....;D I use Instant Ocean on my tanks, I get a good price on it around here. Just dumped almost 2-5gal buckets in it last night, a lot of salt.

Whats its name OTTY ? Hey you forgot the bottom substrate or are you going Berlin ? The New water will need buffering and the better stuff will disolve better in the freshwater at the low P.H of 7.0 from the new water Just a thought
