Well I finally got around to expanding my fish room so things are not so cramped up when I am in there. I also wanted to keep the Q-tank and future frag tank in the same room and there was not enough space for that so I knocked the wall out to the 1/2 bath that is now my fish room. Now I have room for expansion and I will be able to lock the door and keep people out when I close the wall next to the tank.

They are 3 400w MH ballast. Just like what you would see hanging from the ceiling in a factory. I just took the sockets and mounted them in a parabolic reflector and ran wires to them. Those ballast are about half the price you pay from LFS and I get them from Grainger.

Looking good Scott. Bet you're glad to finally have that out of the way. How soon do you think you'll close off the entrance by the tank?

Got to move some electrical wires and then I will be ready to add a lock to the Bathroom/ Fishroom door and close off the area beside the tank. Will make it a little quieter in the basement.

Hey Otty if you ever need more of the M/H transformers ? Let me know I can get you in touch with my rep. in Richmond and they are about a 1/4 or maye 1/3 less then Grainger .. like 39.00 or so thate also what I have runing mine I put them in the basement on the timer and wired up through the wall. I know they will last many yrs so I'm sure you are good to go for them . Oh the coil should be there in a few days ..

Hey Scott, here's a question for you. With the skimmer above the sump, how is the water pumped into the skimmer? From the area underneath it with the liverock?
