From the sump I have 2- 1" lines that combine to a 2" wye and then I feed the HammerHeads 1.5" inlet. After the pump I go to a 2" inlet manifold that has 6- 1" outlet to run all the equipment off of.

Where did you find those 1 inch gate valves? Those are much better than ball valves as far as minute adjustments.

I hate to keep bugging you, but what are you using for a heater?

I'd say about 2000 watts of lights:yelrotflm. You should ask him what knid of chiller he uses.

Wow, I'm impressed that a 1/3 HP chiller is doing the job for you Otty. One of the LFS is suggesting that I get a 1 HP chiller for a tank about the same size as yours. If a 1/3 HP is sufficient, it would really save a bundle.

Think they are trying to pull one over on you. Each chiller is different in how much gph they can handle. This one will handle 1,400 gph (rated for 300g) so it can cool water off quick moving that amount. It is not on for a very long time at all but I only let my temp flux 0.6 degree.
