    It's home

Well I got the tank home last night with the help of 5 friend and boy am I sore today after bringing it out of a basement. After getting it home I realize how much neglect this tank has went through. The rock is not salvageable, I am nuking it today as you can see from the pics that is NOT coralline algae, it is red slime and I am NOT putting that in my tank. It will be just base rock when I am done but I have mature LR to seed it with. Taking the tank down we found no live snails or crabs so the tank was pretty much just ready to crash. The first pic you can scale the tank to the refrigerator dolly it is sitting on.

Otty you might also want to spray the tank with pure bleach all over and make sure to get up under the plastic top beauty rim.

I wish the tank was easier to move around I would just get the waterhose out and give it a good bath. Never thought about getting up under the rim, thanks for reminder Tangster.

I have had every snake there is in this hobby to bite me once or twice and made every mistake there is also LOL I did not think about that once myself..:) Big tanks equal larger labor Hrs LOL. Pour a gall on or two in there and swoosh it all around fill with hose and siphon and fill and siphon again she will be sterile then..
