    About 2 1/2" to 3". There is already two 1" PVC pipes buried in the sand now that go to the other end of the tank so I should be able to hide the base good.

    Now that's the way rocks should look..
    BTW someone mentioned when I was setting up mine to not have holes in the tubes because some type of worm get in there. Not sure if it's really an issue or not..i guess since you'll have water moving through it won't matter.

    Iraf got the mag 2 back thanks , Its fixed there was some gunk o the ceramic shaft impeller was jamed up from it . Remove the impeller sanded the shaft and it took off and ran clock..

    cool thanks! the rocks in the pics under all the tubing, that isn't in your tank right? That's a 900 gallon? How big are those rocks?

    How are you going to attach the rock to the pipe? Do you use tie wraps or epoxy? Anyways that looks like you will be having a fun project.

    Those aren't pics of his tank, just the look he is wanting. I love the idea Scott, I didn't completely understand what you were going for when you exlpained it to me, but if you get it looking similar to that it will be SUE-WEET!!!     What type of engineering degree did you graduate college with? Assuming you went to college for this? :D I'm interested.

    Keep us posted. Looks like your tank is going to look even better than ever. Good idea with using the rock supports to pump water. 2 birds with one stone.
