    Hey Otty,

I see your piecing your live rock together before putting it in the tank. Are you using a type of glue or epoxy to do this?

Also what is the reason for putting the live rock onto those white tubes with holes?

No glue was used this time. I put the rock on a PVC structure for stability and water movement as the pipe is carrying one of the OM valves water through it. I drilled small holes all through the pipe to push water from inside the rock out.

    Ah I see,

Im about to start laying out the PVC for my 180 rock setup.

Do you suggest drilling holes or using zip ties?

    Will 1/2" PVC do?

Did you use PVC cement and sand the male and female ports?

What is the purpose of drilling holes and running water through it? Should I do this also?

Still trying to get the nutrient levels in the tank down so I wasn't up to taking a pic of red sand. :-/ Here is a couple I shot. Still need to add some corals out of q-tank to help fill up some dead spots and cover up the pvc I can still see.

The semi finished product looks really good, Otty! Once you put a bunch of your corals back in, it'll look better than it ever has.

    Nice work!

All I got to say is you got twice the amount of glass to keep clean as I do. ;D
Looking good again! It's looking more like a FOWLR than a reef tank now though.
