You're not the first to say that. My wife knows. From pets to students to peers. "Everybody loves me," she says.

    She's right.

Heck pets will always love their master. I could whip my dog when I leave and she will jump for joy when I pull in the drive way.... ;D Wish the wife was like that....:-/

Yea I know it has been a while. Life goes by pretty quick with two kids in sports.

First off I had my light controller get flaky on me and cycled my MH's all night long. When I got up in the morning I notice that only two of the lights were on. Not thinking they done any damage I changed out the controller and ran the bulbs another 6 months until my 12 month change of bulbs. During this time I notice cayno building on the sand and tried everything to get rid of it as I don't over feed the tank, but never thought the lights would have caused it. Once the 12 month time came I got new bulbs changed out and didn't realize how bad the others were. In one 8 hr period of the new MH's being on I cooked about 80% of the coral in the tank  After I said every 4 letter word in the dictionary I just tried to save what I could and cycled the lights back to 1.5 hrs then increased 0.5 every two weeks until I got back to normal.

After all said and done I ended up loosing my Elegance in the mishap. I felt like kicking someone around the house after that........ good thing Mommy and the kids wasn't home.

All in all it is back to normal. I am adding new coral slowly and it is starting to pick back up. I will have Tangster look for me a new elegance in a month or two. Just added about 8 frags, a clam, & fromia star this weekend after attending the Louisville frag swap.

Heck of an update hugh..... Saltwater is a hobby that never stops changing or testing your patience...... But I love the challenge. :p

That's a drag Otty. Sorry to hear that. Any indications why your controller went bad?

Yeah i hear ya with the two kids thing. Really it just adds up to alot less sleep for me...and i was already deprived of it in the first place - also from the kids.

Sorry to hear bout the difficulties. My patience are being tested early with algea as well...

Im told that difficulties make us stronger and better in the long run... No one around me can see it though
