Well after three days the pH is still maintaining around 8.40

I like being able to use graphs to help solve or prove a problem.

    Hey Otty,
Do you think adding a couple high flow computer fans would get a similar effect? Also, I was looking at these guys some time ago to battle the humidity in my place but I was never sure how it would handle the high humidity summers I have around here. Have you seen any documentation on how much humidity and temp it can exchange? I'm not having any luck finding numbers.

The fan are not going to help unless you are pulling in outside fresh air with them. It is not only the air over the water surface that changes things, it's the amount of CO2 in the air. Air tight home are notorious for building up gases.

The only thing you are going to get out of the computer fans is accelerated evaporation for the tank and higher humidity in the house. Most use them instead of a chiller but with larger tanks all that does is cause corrosion on anything metal in the house.

Here is what I found on Fantech: Heat & Energy Recovery Ventilators site:

Fantech HRVs feature aluminum heat exchanger cores.
    • In the heating season the core transfers heat from the outgoing, stale household air to preheat the incoming, fresh air.
•Cross-current sections, ensure the two air streams are always kept separate preventing the incoming fresh air from being contaminated by the outgoing stale air.
•During the air-conditioning season, the HRV reverses this process, removing some of the heat from the incoming air and transferring it to the outgoing air.
Fantech ERVs, which are ideal for warmer climates, use enthalpic cores to transfer both heat and moisture.
    • Reduces indoor humidity in the air conditioning season.
    • Maintains a comfortable humidity level in the home in the heating season.

Thanks for clearing that up for me.
Did you get the SE704N? Looks like the only option for Energy Recovery Ventilators. So would you just pick the correct size fans for the size of your home? sorry for the swamp of questions, just curious.

I got the SER 2004 model with defrost. I got the ERV not the HRV model. It is sized for a 4,000 sq ft house and mine is half that but I also have 300g+ of sw I am trying to vent. Attached is a chart you use to size your home.

Well I got up to about page 50, and need to stop to go sleep now! All I can say is that is one amazing tank. I hope one day I'm able to "do it all" like you seem to be able to do! So many steps that you made look so easy, I would have great difficulty with. I've learned a lot in this thread though. I saw that you wanted an achilles tang, I hope you get one, one day. They are one of my favourites.
