Ouch!!!!!

i thought i would share my moment of pain with you guys. well i just went down to my frag tubs and stuck my hand in the water to move some corals....... ZAPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the water shocked the crap out of my hand, arm, chest and into the other arm!
so i started to look around to see what the hell was going on. i found that one of my glass heaters had some water drops on the inside. i unpluged it and pulled it out by the cord. at this point i thought i was safe..... i stuck my hand back into the water and ZAPPP!!!!!!!!(stupid i know) low a behold i had two friggen broken heaters!!!!!!


the moral of this is........heck i dont know i just got ZAPPED!

 

That is why you always use titanium heaters and ground probes on GFCI's. Bet you'll forget about glass heaters now... Hope all the livestock is ok.

 

i funny part is that i just bought all the wire and hardware to run 3 20amp circuits with 6 outlets 3 being GFCI's. they have been sitting next to my frag system for a week now. i think i will find the time this weekend to get them installed.

 

Make sure you get a titanium heater too.

 

thats the only one i still have that works. lol! i'm going out to a LFS to buy one tomorrow.
