Our 125 Gal & 55 Gal

    so we picked up a the tank,lights,power heads, skimmer, uv sterilizer, heater, sump, 200lbs of live rock on craigslist all for $500 which I didn't think was a bad deal. This weekend we decided to finish the stand so here are a few pics of before and after

    WOW! Nice setups you have their. Can you give us an equiptment list. What fish are you planning on for the 125?

    That is an impressive stand/canopy

    I like the way you hung the lights and built the canopy:eek:
    Is the canopy open in back or does it go all the way around?
    Did you do the work yourself?
    Are you keeping both tank?

    The 125 has
    2 1200 Maxi Jet power head "modded to 2000gph"
    ASM G5 skimmer
    I am not sure what brand the lights are there is no name on them but it has 3 metal halides, 2 Actinic T12's, blue LED's for moon lights and to fans in the top of it.
    3 over flows drilled into the thank going down into a semi home made refguim and not sure what the return pump is either
    Gamma UV sterilizer

    55 Gal
    Seaclone 100 skimmer
    few misc power heads
    home made hang on back over flow with the refguim
    hagan T5 HO lights
    Blue LED moon lights

    The canopy actually sits on the tank the lights are what is hung from the ceiling. The canopy is only 3 sided yes open in the back.
    We did do the work our self's and honestly I am quite impressed with it my self
    And yes we are keeping both tanks. The 55 is down stairs in our office and the 125 is upstairs in the living room

    So far not sure what we are all planing on putting in it. Right now we have 3 chromis and 2 black clowns

    Wow! We're wanting a 6' tank in the future. Do you have more pics of the 125 under the stand? :D

    Great looking 125/55. I am getting to move into a 125 here hopefully soonfrom my 65. Still need to finish my canopy, get a skimmer, chiller controller, sand and make a refugium.
