    Hopefully we will upgrade to a bigger tank as he grows. If not I guess we will have to let him go! We wanted to get all the cast of finding nemo. lol minus the shark!

    i think the coral looks more like some type of gonipora...

    So you're saying that when an anemone dies and releases toxins, it doesn't kill the other fish? Why would other tank mates die then? Broken hearts?

    Oh and I forgot... I have a hitchiker starfish in one of my live rock! That was cool!

    No it doesnt kill fish, ive had plenty of nems die in my tank with no adverse effects at all

    So what has everyone else's critters died from just after their nems died? :confused:
    If its not the poison (especially in a small tank) then why do the deaths of nems and the wipe out of entire system mysteriously happen simultaneously?

    Never seen it happen, also worked at a lfs for a couple years when i aws younger many nems died never wiped out anything, like i said i believe this is a common misconception

    You've been lucky then.
    I still suggest that they read up about it and its better to be safe than sorry. Telling some one that allowing something like that to happen is ok and there will be no consequences is bad advice IMO. You could at least just say "In my experience I've never had that happen" and leave it at that rather than saying "No, that's wrong there's no such thing" That's just like calling every one that its happened to a liar.

    No its not, and not its not bad advice at all. Its the correct advice, telling them it will wipe out the entire tank if it dies and worrying them for no reason is bad advice IMO
