Finally got our Red Devil to pose for somewhat of a picture. We've had him about 3 years and he is vicious. Probably one of the coolest and most interesting fish we have owned with one crazy personality. I cant count how many times one of us has been bitten by him, even drawn blood a few times, if he is hungry he makes sure you know it. Right now he has a 55 all to himself (anything that goes in the tank is destroyed in a matter of minutes). Considering he's around 10" and still growing he will more then likely be in a larger 6 or 8ft tank pretty soon. Anyway here's the only pic we could get before he started attacking the glass trying to get at the camera. What do ya think?

We actually purchased him when he was 2" long and silver in color. We were told he was a completely different type of fish. We stuck him in our Cichlid tank and he was cool for a few months. After a while though he turned bright orange and we realized what the store had accidentally sold us. He wiped out every fish in the tank most of which were at least twice his size at the time. We were down to him and a 14" Oscar at one point and we had to put up a divider to keep him away from the Oscar due to the beating he was dishing out. Not two days later he had rammed the divider hard enough to break the mounts and he took out the Oscar. At that time he was around 8" and the Oscar 14"+. I've never seen a fish hand out a beating like this one. He is relentless but does not seem interested in eating the others. He beats on them non stop until they die and then goes on about his business. He has been by himself for about a year now since he wiped out all of the others and he will stay that way. We were going to give him away but since we did buy him (even though the purchase was misinformed) we feel responsible for taking care of him. Although hes evil he is very pretty.

he's a little devil. Reminds me of my green spotted puffer, but on a much smaller scale, he is an evil little guy ate all of his tanks mates and swam around like nothing happend but he was so cute i couldnt get rid of him, he's been by himself for almost 2 years now in a 20 gallong but he's little, only 3 inches at the very most.

What do you feed your guy, have you tried any feeder gold fish? i bet he rip them right up
