Okay, I have to brag on my Dad. He made this hood to match our stand. Check it out...It even has a feeding door on the side. It opens with a hinge between the two sides for easy cleaning. It vents out the back. I am so stoked. MY DAD IS THE BEST!!

The whole set up has quite the saga. We have had a 55 gallon for ever. It finally cracked again, and we threw in the towel on it. Our dilemma was, do we buy another, or go new? We decided to upgrade. We had to do it quick because our original tank was now being held together with boards and wood clamps. We decided to get on Craigslist and find a used one quick. (Our LFS doesnt sell tanks) SO, we found one with a stand, but no hood in San Jose California. Since we live in Reno, Nv, this meant a 5 hour drive one way. As you all kmow, this is a viscious sickness we all have and we didnt bat an eye at the drive. When we got down there it was dark. The tank looked great. The stand was less than desirable, but what could we do at this point? We bought it and jammed back home. When we unloaded the stand, we realized that it had been in a flood. There was water damage under the bottom, and some severe wood rot. So, in a 911 panic I called my dad. He had the stand ready to hold an elephant in less than 2 weeks. I have never been so happy in my life. UNTIL he designed the stand and
Whaaa LaaaH!!! Perfection. I am telling ya, best Dad in the world.!! Thanks for reading everyone!! I appreciate the Karma.
