Good eye, Jake! I actually put the yuma in front of the hammer, ahead of direction of flow. Unless the hammer can direct its sweepers backwards, the yuma should be okay. ;D I had a Florida ricordea in that spot for a few months with no problems. It wasn't as pretty and had to take a back seat to the new yuma!

:D We like setting the standards high. Or my mom likes buying corals...whichever way you want to see it. :p

That Yuma's going to be a big mama. It's already opened up to become larger than our other ricordias. And we separated the shroom and hammer coral a bit. I even turned the hammer sideways to allow the baby heads some light. That thing has had 7-10 small heads on it just dying to grow somewhere, but they were all shaded by the top main heads of the coral, so no light was getting to them. Hopefully by rotating the piece we'll be able to have a "fuller" looking hammer coral.

    Nice!

This is so exciting to have found this forum and this thread in particular. I am just about to start basically the same tank. I am just in the stage of buying all of my equipment and reading up as much as I can before I start working on it.
