    I live about 40 miles South of Redmond and about 3,000+ - a few feet higher. It's supposed to be a bit nicer. It's been a bit on the chilly side where I'm at. I've never seen snow "stick" this early in the year. It's usually right around Halloween when we get our first snow.

    See,s to be the same here. 3 out of the 4 years I have lived here we have gotten our first winter snowstorm Halloween night. It's like clockwork. I'm at about 5,000 feet

    We are around 3200 feet or so.

    Hate to tell you guys this but its gonna be about 80 and sunny, tommorow and all weekend here in northern Illinois!

    No need to tell me that, I love snow and winter. My husband on the other hand....not so fond of it.....he would hate to hear that!

    Me personally, I like winter as long as we get snow and it don't last to long. But around here we usually celebrate a Brown Christmas!

    Our winter essentially lasts about 7-8 months.

    Ours is about 4-5 months...and I am only a short 45 mins drive from you!

    OK, maybe I'm being a wuss. It's cold for atleast 7-8 months.

    +1. Last year we got a huge snowstorm over the long new-years weekend. I started to go stir-crazy in 3 days. It sucked
