overflow box?

    if i make an acrylic overflow box for the inside of my tank will i be able to attach it to my glass tank? if i can what would be the best way to do this?

    I think it can be done with success. So long as the box is on the inside, weight of the water in the tank I'd think would support the adhesion rather than hinder it. As your post suggests, you're aware that glass to glass is done with silicone, and acrylic to acrylic is done with weld-on or other bonding agent. I think in this scenario, silicone is your best bet.
