    If you have a hole drilled in the tank, just use it. Don't bother going with an overflow box at that point.

    Leave the internal skimmer box and put a stand pipe in....I have an overflow box and do not use a stand pipe and mine is quiet.....I use the ole air tube down the drain to silence it
    So you might not even need a stand pipe
