Overflow help please

I'm shopping for a solution for achieving plumbing for a sump/fuge. This is a pic of the right side of my canopy where this thingy neeeeeeds to fit...



As you can see there is about a gap about 1.75 inches tall. I don't think I can saddle an eshopps overflow box over the top of my canopy. Or anything else for that matter. Does anyone have any ideas?

you can try that. I made one, i didn't set it up yet but i tested on a spare tank and it seems to be working.

 

a DIY PVC overflow might work out for you, there is a great wright up somewhere on this forum.
