k, so the bf isn't letting me put anything fun in his tank (him: "this tank is for my shark, none of that pretty garbage") so we've decided to get an overflow nano (like the ones at the LFS, ya know with no tops that just overflow into a base around the tank) and i can stock it with whatever i want

    q: are they good tanks?
q: how would a couple sea horses do in one? would the flow be too much? would i have seahorses overboard? what else could go in with the seahorses?
q: if anyone does have one, how's it workin out?

this is still an idea and probably wont happen for a couple weeks now, but i wanted to get everyones input on them before i got even more excited and bought one

Here's a link to what i'm talkin about

Nope, not me. It would make a great centerpiece to a room though. Looks pricey....but hey, if you have the cash, go for it. You would be required, of course, to post many pics and to have a thread dedicated to it's 'construction'.

lol. so the bf decided he is now the acryllic master and said he could make one... in fact, said he could make a dozen or so ::) wants to start selling them (ROFL) out of our little 1bdrm apt.
indeed this is going to be a DIY and a half (seeing as though noone has posted any directions anywhere) and I will happily keep you all updated ;D

hopefully it goes well, I've debated buying the welding supplies for acrylic and making tanks before but it's a ton of work and cash to get started
let him know to get a good tablesaw with a really sharp set of blades if he's going to do a lot of acrylic work keep us updated :)
