I am installing the overflow accessories in my Oceanic pre-drilled tank. The adjustable drain pipe and drain pipe base fit very tightly into the 1" bulkhead but the return pipe fits quite loosely into the 3/4" bulkhead.

I assume this is the way it should be but I just want to make sure before I go ahead.

doesn't sound right Xayvian. As soon as your return pump is plugged in it's going to blow the return out. I think my return is threaded?

Is this what it looks like?

I aqree with Jason. The return pipe will be under pressure when you turn your pump on and it will blow any loose pieces out of place...you may have to glue the pipe into the bulkhead fitting. Also glue the 90` angle to your expel fitting. You DONT want pieces coming apart while your gone and pumping your tank out on the floor...bad..very bad....

OR-----go buy another bulkhead fitting...I even saw some at Kmart! (boat section) and make sure it has a nice tight fit this time....just be sure it cant come out under pump pressure...

    good luck!

    Thanks guys.

Jason, that is exactly what I have.

Scoffer, I checked the 90' angle and the return pipe doesn't fit very tight there either. I think I will go to Home Depot and see if I can find a replacement return pipe.
