Just got back. My other LFS said they would drill for free. Bonus. No guarantee though, shrug..

    Thanks,
    Pictures and help please ?

I just made some baffles for the new sump today from Acrylic so I am feeling adventurous.

I want to stay in the corner so I can go and look inside from time to time.
Doesn't have to be fancy round I guess, so a corver box would do. How tall, how many teeth, does it matter ?

    \Cheers

You can buy colored Acrylic from most glass stores and here is all the components you need for the stand pipes. You can purchase them from here or make your own.

Build your own Durso Standpipe ?

The larger you make the standpipe in pipe size the more water you will push through the bulkhead. 1" bulkhead use 1.5" standpipe

    OK thanks
So if my tank is 24" deep,
I should get two pieces of acrylic 6"x24" and silicone to the corner to make a corner box. Is there a rule of thumb for the teeth at the top of the overflow ? What height should they be at ?

1/4" below the rim of tank where it meets the (viewable) glass and I always use eggcrate at the top so that I don't have a issue with too small of teeth for the flow I want. The Standpipes will be what you set your water height with.

Well I can't say, never has happen to me, and that sponge is only for large matter, the debris goes through the sponge that is just for the fish sake.
But like I mention before I never had any problems out of them.

    OK, another question.
When you glue in the overflowbox, how do you get to the pipes and bulkhead ? 24" down in a small box doesn't seem doable.

So I can install the pipes first, but what if it needs adjusting or something.

I suppose the same hold true if you buy the Megaflow, just never though of it till now.
