    here is another DIY overflow system using PVC pipping.
    pictures somewhere here...
    my only question is when it is siphoning it makes a gurgling noise any ideas on how i can reduce this sound because me tank is in my room :)

    Thats awesome man, your sump turned out good. You should meet up with me sometime soon and show me how you did yours. How many gph you got with that siphon?

    i wouldnt have a clue.... i dont think its much to be honest. but yeah you should come down sometime and ill show you... i just added a durso to the inlet to make it more quiet too that and i finally matched the inlet flow with the outlet :)
