I'd say "yay"...(read the actual question again and edited)
How are those 2 different species of clownfish getting along? And how long do you have before they out grow the system?

I'm gonna Yay mostly because those two clowns are not going to get along for very long. I have a 2.5 gallon nano and the only fish I dared to put in there was a clown goby.

    HAHA...
I was worried your overly-honest opinion was going to bring down the wrath of the Moderator Gods...

Think of it this way, you might be getting some free fish soon.......

    agreed.

a single small clown goby or a small neon goby would be the only fish i would place in a tank that small. why not skip the fish all together? you could make a very interesting invertebrate only tank with a 2.5...plus less chance to mess up the tank with the feeding requirements of fish.

I would say that I totally agree with you all.

However, the fish were a gift from my boss. A newb, just recently interested in establishing a small reef. Currently the fish are doing fine. It's been 5 days. Filtration is a millenium 2000, carbon bag, cheato (in-tank fuge), and bi-daily water changes. I'm doing my best to see how long I can keep them healthy.

The tank is in the office so I don't think it would be right to return fish I didn't buy. Currently everybody is very healthy, the tomato is definitely being bullied by the clarkii but not to an extreme. The Neon plays doctor with both of them, so he might be helping to reduce stress.

    Let's see what happens.

Anything that can be filled after a few  should never be used as a fish tank for clowns of any sorts or considered one either maybe as a ice bucket :second:bucket for the few beers .. I'd say now ok for a few soft corals and a little fish like mentioned already
