I have a pretty overstocked 29g and i need to get rid of a few fish so i can reduce nitrate and maybe start SPS corals soon and a clam and anemone maybe..

I want to get rid of these

    Neon dottyback
    randalli goby
    sixline wrasse

    Which leaves me with

Diamond goby and a pair of clowns

What are different methods of catching fish? Are there any other traps i can DIY ?

The way the guy at the LFS does it is that he puts in a container like you see at PetCo, lodges it a bit in the substrate, and uses his hand to guide the fish into the box. Then, pull it out.

Seems like a very low stress way to catch fish IMO.

No easy way to do it without taking out the rocks... Ive tried to get some damsels out and ended up taking a bunch of rocks out # : (
Chase em around with 2 or more fishnets...but they learn real quick where they can hide!
I was able to get my clowns to eat out of my hand (held a pinch of flakes in with my fingers submerged about knuckle deep)...Might be able to do with yours and then when you feed them you can snag em from underneath...Might need an extra set of hands..
    Good luck
