    And last but not least a hung over Gila Monster, one of my favorite animals here in Az. The majority of these pictures were taken at Sequoia National Park and the Desert Museum. All were taken by me.

    I am sneaky like that. And close up lense, no really I go when they are working with the raptors at the desert museum. They are allowed to fly free during trainning.

    if its genuinely "meep, meep" I would be impressed.

    They are silent killers!

    Mean little suckers. The hunt baby birds and rabbits, lizards and snakes. They are the Velociraptor of today, ruthless I tell you.

    That is one thing about the desert, pretty much everything bites, stings, pokes ,it is eat or be eaten and quickly here.

    I would not have guessed that
    the hawk and the owls - I knew they where efficient hunters
    but the roadrunner ?

    bet there is not much of a rodent problem in that area?
