You know how your supposed to have water folding in your tank to create some oxygenation in the water?!?!

Well my question is....is the water that flows down into your sump and makes all air bubbles down there giving the water in the DT oxygen?

or does it have to happen in the DT?

Yes the waterfall effect happening in the sump does oxygenate the water along with protein skimmig and surface agitation in the DT

You should agitate the surface of the DT. You can never have too much oxygenation.
