    1) not all creeks are brackish

    2) if you are not sure if something is safe to put in your aquarium forget you ever thought about it. Those free oysters could bring down your entire tank.

    Ok thanks guys.
I just have nothing in there but my substrate and a raw shrimp so I thought ths would be good. I was excited to put it in, but I guess I wont.
I will be getting my dry rock from Marco Tues.

Yes. I may buy a few 15-25 lbs of live from him also. Just to get everything growing on the dry.
Should I buy more then that? Or do I not even need that much?

How much dry did you order and how large is your tank? the quantity of rock in your tank has a lot to do with your preferences and what you want to keep coral wise. I love sand dwelling corals so I have less rock than others normally have in a 75. However, you do want a lot of rock depending on your bioload. The rule of thumb is a lb per gallon. I have 95lbs in my 75 and another 20-30lbs of rubble in my sump.

You may find yourself wanting more rock. if you do, just order more dry rock that way you don't have to deal with another cycle or curing LR.
