    That's the marketing hoopla, but "twist" design's actually move the water further from the bulb and end up with reduced efficiency.

    UV filters are one of those extremely misunderstood items due to the amount of mismarketing on them. The turbo twists actual doseage amounts won't kill any of the main marine parasites we are worried about. But it can reduce film algae on glass (the same stuff that feeds your pod population and clams)

    Yeah, I really should have stuck to phyto. I was thinking the doseage amounts it took to kill ich would kill pods as well, but I can't find anything supporting that.

    I was only concerned because since this is a big build I wanted the best for my animals. As Jason, Vinny, grim and the rest has stated, good husbandry should eradicate that.
