I am setting up my diy ozone set up and im wodering if its better/worse or indifferent to runt the output of the reactor into my skimmer.im curious because the air and water comming out of the reactor both pass through activated carbon.

I doubt you will have too much luck with ozone on this forum. I have looked at most everyone's set up on here and we don't have many, if any, ozone users here.

Your skimmer needs to be ozone safe, but most are these days. I only vaguely remember using ozone, but my memory is that you run it into the skimmer air intake of an ozone safe skimmer. Run the water coming out the skimmer through carbon.

Yes that would work, the skimmer is ozone safe.I have an ozone reactor the output goes through carbon.im not sure if its best to skim after that or not. Im thinking its not needed

I believe you skim before the carbon. My experience as I remember it was that the carbon was unnecessary, but I think on the rare occasion it is necessary, it may prevent a wipe, so best to have it.

The skimmer is usually used as the reaction chamber in that instance. I think he's already built a diy for a reaction chamber specifically for the ozone. That's why he's thinking he doesn't need the skimmer.
