    Can anybody tell me why my ph montor goes crasey when my metal halides go on i use a grounding prob.

    Could be a bad /cracked probe or you may have some arching and the probe can't do much with that. But its the probe picking up the a charge , are the ballast grounded on the case to grnd ? And you no for a fact the wall receptacle is properly grounded ?
