Iv finally had it with trying to regulate my temp without a chiller! I run 4 fans 24hrs a day just to keep it below 82. I have to pull the temp all the way down below 74 at night just so it doesn't heat up to 85+ by the end of my light cycle.

    No more fans

No more floating Ice on hot days

No more running the AC 24/7 (and having my GF complain that shes cold)

Im ordering a Pacific Coast CL-280 from Premium Aquatics TONIGHT!

It has a heater control built into it. Has anyone ever used it? Does it work well? Any recommendations on a heater to run with it?

I currently do not run a heater, but would like as much control over temp as possible.

It works fairly well. It's basically a dual stage controller. You plug your heater into the chiller and set the temp. It will activate the chiller when the temp is above or the heaters when the temp is low.
I found the cost of the dual stage in the chiller to be too much of an added cost. you can purchase an external controller like Ranco controller or even better a proflux or reef keeper to control our chiller and heaters and a whole lot more.

A buddy of mine has the Proflux and it's amazing what it can do for heat control.

    Thanks for the input!

Added cost? It looks to be included at no additonal cost on premiumaquatics.com, or am I missing something?

I think at one time there where 2 models 1 just controlled the chiller and the dual stage controller chiller and heaters

    Okay, that makes since

How do you like the quality of the pacific coast chillers? Have you had any problems with them?

Is the dual stage controler reliable and accurate?
