Holy moly. I step away for one minute and....BOOM 11 pages of bragging about a big tank!!! You just got jealous cuz ours was bigger than yours. Men and size....hhhmmm. J/K I am jazzed. You know if you need help, we are at your disposal. Plus, as you know my dad is the carpenter of a lifetime. I am really stoked to see this from the ground up. I CAN NOT BELIEVE YOU HAVE AN 11 PAGE THREAD IN..what...4 DAYS? That is almost as impressive as an S10 with a 200 gallon tank in it. LOL.

    Thanks!
Honestly, I was just flat out tired of the small tank. I pondered the 55 for a while, but that was like, why bother? Not a big enough increase to do anything really. So I looked at 75's, but that meant buying all new equipment, with still a marginal increase in size. So then I figured, heck with it. If I have to start from the ground up anyways, I should at least make it worth while. 200 was bigger than I was looking for really. I was looking in the 120-150 range. But this was an awesome deal so I jumped on it, and I am glad I did.
And yours was an inspiration. It's an incredible tank. Big tanks just are so much more impressive. And just to let you know, I am totally copying you with the Gold Head Sleeper Goby ;) I loved that fish. That's on my definite want list :D

You are welcome. I agree about the big tanks. I love the look on people's faces when they see our tank for the first time. I think you made the right choice. A 40 to 55 upgrade would be a little tiny step in the right direction.
I went in to our LFS today to see what they'd sell the corner tank for. The guy wants $500! Can you even imagine? Its a particle board stand and its water logged. On top of that you have to crawl around the tank to push the front door open. Once its open there is a 6 inch square hole hammered out of the bottom. I had to leave in a hurry.
I'd say $200 for a 200 gallon isnt too shabby my friend.

If you are planning a reef I would NOT get one of those. I have had them before and trust me, they will bury your corals in sand, most likely injuring them or worse. And it is a pain to blow all of the sand away from EVERYTHING! one of mine actually killed my Scolymia and that's when I had it with those fish.

Ya. Our does try to bury things. We spot feed alot of our corals, so its not too much of a problem. You have to know if you want to put the work into it or not. You know, (PackLeader) our tank is babied. We hand feed everything and then some.

They are a great fish and provide a really good service, but they are a pain in the neck to clean up after. How long have you had yours for? Mine slowly died from starvation, I'm assuming...

I use these to lock my hidden gun cabinet as well as a couple cabinet doors that I lock up from baby. It's a neat little lock type mechanism that the magnet unlatches - it's not really being held up by magnets.

    They work really really well.

I also remove rare earth magnets from old SCSI hard drives I get off ebay and use those magnets for all kinds of things. (Like we IM'd about). These would be used to hold the panels up. Unlike the above.

Agreed. I have my fungia and Wellso Brain up on the rocks because of him. Until I can get rid of him.
He's a cool fish and fun to watch but he makes too much of a mess. On a positive note he keeps the sand cleaner than most other sand sifters.
I'm surprised yours died of starvation. Mine even joins in on the seaweed clip.
