PackLeader's 200 gallon Reef

Ordered the lighting system yesterday. Went with my trusty T5-MH combo. 3 250W halides with 4 54W T5's. Having same dude build it as my last one. Should be at my door within 2 weeks.
Glass is tempered. I am actually not too terribly bummed about it, specially since I had decided against closed loop anyways. I will order two eshopps overflow kits, as I helped psiclone install one on his tank and I was very impressed with them. Much, much better units than the CPR's. We cut power to the system at least three times and they never caused a flood or lost siphon. And, if I do get too annoyed by it, I can always keep an eye on craigslist. This size tank actually seems to be fairly common, it was the third one I came across.
I have also decided on a blue background. I had blue origianlly on my 40, then went to black during the move, and decided I like blue more. Just seems brighter too me, along with a much more natural feel. Black has that "this is my science experiment cube in my lab" feel to it. Bleh, all personal preference

 

why not go with pictures of you in the background? Can't imagine what your dates would think of that one!

Soooo who is this "dude" you keep talking about? I mean, I know he is an ebay seller but how do I contact him to get quotes and stuff, does he just build things or what's the deal Pack?

I think a background picture of your face...minus the camera...with the words "OBEY" under it would do nicely. The rock might cover up some of it though...

I like blue. Black doesn't feel oceany enough.

I still can't imagine how just plain creepy it would be to have your own likeness as the background.

You sure? I was thinking starting a poll thread, with a couple different poses, each with a different style of speedo. As a mod, would this be against the rules? Even if it was leopard print?

Nope. I like the blue. Few cans of Krylon Fusion to the back of the tank, overflow boxes, and powerheads, and it will still hide everything like black does. And not be so dark a drab looking

 

Personally, a reef tank is trying to replicate the ocean as much as possible.
