Yeah, I like the look of the viewer window on the fuge. I have been wanting to do something of the same sort. You are a heck of a craftsmen for being 26 yrs old. I like the panels better than the doors, it has a much cleaner look to it. The thing I dont like about doors is that they tend to slam shut if I dont hold the door until it shuts all the way. I think the fish stare at me and are waiting for the door to slam.

I don't really mind the look of doors per say, but there were 2 main advantages to panels. First, it will give me a lot more access to work under the stand. I can now strip the entire stand to it's bare frame in about 30 seconds (the sides are also panels just like the front). And second, the panels were a heck of a lot easier to make than dealing with the hinges and everything else associated with doors.

Ive always liked the idea of having a viewing window for the fuge, but with the way my kids are, it wouldnt last one week. Everything looks awesome, cant wait to see it wet!

How are the panels attached to the frame?

The bottom of the panels fit in between the actual frame and some molding. The top of the panels are held in place by simple cabinet magnets. I'll take some pictures of it tonight.

I really wanted to use those Tot Loks that a few pointed to earlier in the thread, but they require a pretty thick working material. Unfortunately, my paneling was too thin, so the ends of the locks (side that is activated by the magnets) would be hanging out quite a bit.

WOW!!!!! That is really nice looking man, where did you get the magnetic things for the cabinets? That is going to look amazing when it's all set up.
