Actually, it is facing north! ;) Never thought about direction. But, I have that heavy plastic shade that is down all day. I only open the window at night for fresh air, so absolutely no sunlight gets through there anyhow.

Is your plumbing going to run between the stand and the wall or is it going through the stand? I see this is butted up against the wall (or appears so).

Well, 18-35 is not that wide considering your room and tank size ;)
a lot better than the 35 though... can't wait to see pics

No, it will go behind the stand. It's tough to see in the pics, but there is 3" between the stand and wall, so plenty of room for the pvc.

Pack, I thought I read in an earlier post that you were gonna go with the octo extreme skimmer but will be going with the EV240 now. What changed your mind? Just wondering, I'm trying to figure out what skimmer to put in my 240 and have decided on the octo extreme 300 for now unless the EV240 would be a better choice.

Could we possibly see 50 pages with no water? I think people are starting to take bets!!!
Thats why I haven't started a thread with my 240,it would probably be 100 pages no water...lol.

I know, late reply, but I'm just catching up on this thread now. Somehow missed the first month or so. :(

Yeah, water could be counted as "white noise" and could be very peaceful; not to mention it could drown out the sounds of neighbors who don't exactly have your best interests in mind when it comes to sleep.

And oh, BTW--the whole sleep thing at an NHRA race; would that be sleeping, or passing out? :drunk:
