I have two reeflos on my system and if you have them under the stand it echos off the wall which creates noise. If they are put in some type of container or if you could put sound dampening material on the wall and stand that might work. In my build thread you will see I moved them outside just so i would only her the flow of the water over the overflow.

Well if Otty said they were quiet I would go with it. I can tell you this though: Little Giants are not quiet. With both of them running the noise level was similar to a blender or vacuum cleaner.

Two words. Maxijet. 1200. No problem. You might need two of them.

    ?????
The maxijet has a max flow rate of 295GPH and tops at out 4' of head?
I need to be pushing 1000GPH at least at 6 feet of head (at least)

I beg to differ, he would probably be safer going with 3.

One guy I got some frags from had a mag 18 that I could barely hear. He was running it in the sump. He said it ads a little heat but still no chiller on his 210 gallon with 3X400 watters.
    Bogie said his is quiet.

Could probably run a bunch 'in line' to kind of pass the buck ITO water flow. I know it would work. I just know it.

No, Roger has a Mag 18 for a circulation pump for his 90, which is quiet.
I had tried a Mag 24 for my first pump for my setup. The Mag 24 sounded more like a food processor, or a blender chopping up ice - even Roger plugged it in and was was like WTF!!! That pump came off after less than 3 hours of running it.
I now am trying out a Blueline 100 HD Champion Lighting & Supply :: Pumps :: BlueLine HD Series and it's not all that quiet either, but half as bad as the mag 2400 was. Maybe the loud mag 24 was just a fluke, but after some more digging, I found some complaints on noise from the mag 24 and mag 36 pumps.

Edit: The BlueLine 100 HD seems (from the pics and specs) to be the same as the Pan World 250PS. It is a little louder than I'd like, but might be ok once I put soundproofing material on the inside of the stand and bottom of tank.
