Yes. It just seems to make everything a little brighter and all the colors pop a little more.

I almost worked up the muster to go scrub it today. I still might tonight. Hopefully will start on the stand within the next few weeks.

Nice sand. I like white also. Although the first thing I thought when I saw the pic on eBay were...DIATOMS!!! Sorry.

And go to the LFS toward the end of their closeout. The one up here that closed out had $4 a pound on ALL rock regardless of type. So I got some really good deals there. That is where I picked up my brain, zoa rock, pagoda cup and oscellaris pair. Dirt cheap. Lord knows what you will get if you head in there the last hour of the last day. I would make a stop in there at that time for sure.

And Hello Kitty is gone? My tank is a no sticker zone. The kids know better. They have put a few on the inside of the door, but that is it. If they had it their way, Nemo stickers would adorn the sides and front of the tank.

Something you could do would be to get enough sand to do a few 20g tanks, set up a basic filtration system (nothing fancy). Throw some rock in there, let it cycle and make a home for some of the smaller inhabitants that will eventually go in your 200. Then make a species tanks out of them when your 200 gets going.

After you scrub it down, dump in 6 gallons of bleach and top the tank off with (tap) water to the upper trim piece. Toss a circulation pump in there to mix it up, and let it sit for a day or two to disinfect it all. Then drain it, siphon it all out with a garden hose, rinse it a couple of times, and you'll be good to go.
Make your stand next. Plan for it to be high enough to fit you skimmer and equipment in.
